Here Bob and I are in the South Dakota Badlands, September 2006. The only birds we saw at this stop were Turkey Vultures and Rock Wrens. I have a camera in one hand and binoculars in the other.
Here is a picture of one of the Rock Wrens.

I have been birding since 1994 but have been interested in birds all my life. I joined the local Audubon group in 1996 and have learned so much about birds from taking fieldtrips with longtime birders. This has to be the best way to learn about birds. I enjoy taking people birding to our favorite places around Scottsbluff so if you are in the area or planning a trip to western Nebraska contact me
We have two Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Reno (above) Kayci (left) and a psycho cat named Bilbo Baggins (below).
My husband, Bob, and I have taken birding trips around the country. We have been to south-east Arizona twice, to South Dakota, Kentucky, New Mexico and Wyoming and states in between. We are planning a trip or Oregon in 2006. We have birded around most of Nebraska. Some of our favorite places are Carter Canyon, Crescent Lake Wildlife Refuge, Old Stage Hill Road, Winter's Creek Lake and our back yard. Last year we took a trip to south east Nebraska, this spring it will be to the north east part of the state .
