Backyard Sightings
On the 12th of March, 2006 I heard the loud
noise of a starling and looked out the kitchen window, a
Sharp-shinned Hawk had caught his lunch. I had my camera handy
and got these pictures. After the last picture he flew off with
his lunch into the trees.

March 4th A white Eurasian
Collared-dove was in our yard. The pictures were taken
out of a window and the c-doves were kind of far a way
so they aren't very good.
I couldn't tell if it had red eyes or normal colored
eyes. The feathers were white with cream colored edges.
The bill and legs were a normal color and it has a nice
dark collar. As you can see it was hanging out with a
normal colored c-dove. Only saw it the one day.
(the c-dove is still here April 6th) |
